Build an AI Marketing Asset Workflow That Scales

The typical marketing asset workflow and where it breaks down

The traditional marketing asset workflow has too many handoffs: marketer writes the brief, sends it to the designer, designer creates drafts, marketer reviews and requests changes, designer revises, marketer approves, designer exports. Each handoff introduces delays, miscommunication, and cost.

For small teams and solo marketers, this workflow is unsustainable. You either spend too much money on design services or spend too much time doing it yourself in tools that were not built for marketing content. Both options slow you down.

Set up your brand kit before anything else

Before you generate a single image, invest 15 minutes in setting up your brand kit. Upload your logo files. Define your color palette with specific values. Write a brief brand voice description. Add any visual style references.

This upfront investment pays dividends on every generation. Your brand kit is the foundation that ensures consistency across every image, every campaign, and every channel. Skip this step and you will spend more time fixing brand inconsistencies later.

Choose your creation category and generate your base images

With your brand kit set, select the creation category that matches your campaign: product photography, lifestyle, fashion, food, or any of the other available categories. Each category encodes the composition rules, lighting standards, and visual conventions of that creation type.

Generate 5-10 base images from your scene description. These are your starting points, not your final outputs. Review them for the ones that best match your campaign concept, then move to the editing phase.

Edit, refine, and generate angle variations

Raw generations are good starting points but rarely perfect. Use editing tools to refine your selections: adjust the lighting, change the background, clean up any artifacts. Then generate angle variations of your best images to give your marketing channels more creative options.

This editing phase typically takes 5-10 minutes per image. The goal is not perfection but publish-readiness. A good image that ships today outperforms a perfect image that ships next week.

Create video versions from your winners

Once you have your winning static images, generate video versions for placements that support motion: Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Stories. AI video generation can add subtle motion, zoom effects, and transitions that bring your static images to life.

Video content consistently outperforms static images on engagement metrics. By creating video versions of your already-validated static winners, you extend the reach of your best assets without starting from scratch.

Export and upload to your platforms

Export your final images and videos in the correct dimensions for each platform. Most platforms have specific requirements for file size, aspect ratio, and resolution. Getting these right at export time prevents rejection and re-work.

Create a checklist for each platform you regularly publish on. Include the required dimensions, maximum file sizes, and any content restrictions. Run through this checklist before every upload to avoid the frustrating cycle of upload, rejection, resize, re-upload.

Scaling this workflow across multiple clients or campaigns

The beauty of a systematized workflow is that it scales. The same process that produces one campaign's assets in 30 minutes can produce five campaigns' assets in a morning. The brand kit switching feature means you are never more than two clicks away from starting work on a different client.

For agencies and freelancers managing multiple accounts, this scalability transforms creative production from a bottleneck into a competitive advantage. More creative options for every client, faster turnaround, and lower costs per image.
